Under this initiative, interest free returnable easy loans of Rs. 300,000 in two installments are provided to the beneficiary women to setup small businesses.
One in every 3,000 beneficiary families receives this financial assistance through a transparent computerized draw through balloting software, which is certified and authenticated by NADRA.
The recipients are trained in the entrepreneurship skills to run a successful and profitable business.
BISP arranges 10 days Enterprise Development Training for the selected beneficiaries through the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF); which is one of the premier institutions in Pakistan dealing with micro-finance with a vast outreach, experience and expertise.
Beneficiaries are also provided counseling regarding choice and identification of business and help in setting up their businesses.
Monitoring and evaluation of the businesses are carried out against already determined OVI’s (Objectively Verifiable Indicators).
